وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ1 إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَفِي خُسۡرٍ2 إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ3
Translation · Saheeh International
1By time
2Indeed, mankind is in loss
3Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience
Explanation

One of the shortest surahs. It opens with an oath by time, states that humanity is in loss, and names the exception: those who believe, do good, and encourage one another to truth and to patience.
Success is described as both personal (faith and good deeds) and shared (supporting others in truth and patience).
